I have applied at HIT Web Design a couple times over the past year, dodged another bullet didn't I?
Customer Service is NEVER an option, it's a requirement.
Eh ... I can identify with HIT here. Their contract is certainly strict, but when you're doing the volume of sites they are it has to be. Having upset clients is inevitable with creative because beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Also, few people actually make money on their website. Amazon.com posted their first profit 4th quarter 2001, founded in 1994. Over 6 years! Youtube never made money until Google bought it. The list goes on and on.
I'd wager a guess that HIT's proportion of unsatisfied clients is the same as anybody else's, they just have 1000x more customers than most web design firms.
